Hello, wellness friends! In our fast-paced world, finding balance can feel like a treasure hunt. I love helping my clients discover that treasure through personalized herbal teas that nurture both body and spirit. Today, I’m excited to share a special Nourish & Balance tea crafted to support digestion, promote detoxification, ease stress, and restore harmony. Let’s dive into this vibrant blend and see how it can light up your wellness journey!
A Tea to Support Mind and Mind
This Nourish & Balance tea is designed for someone looking to boost digestion, support weight loss, detoxify their liver and kidneys, restore calm, and balance cortisol levels. It’s a powerhouse blend of six herbs, each chosen to address these goals while harmonizing the body’s energy. Here’s what’s in the mix and why I love these herbs:
Dandelion Root: A bitter, detoxifying herb, dandelion root supports liver and kidney health by promoting bile flow and gentle diuresis. It helps reduce fluid retention and stimulates hydrochloric acid for better digestion, aiding weight loss. Its cooling, drying energetics clear Liver Heat and drain Dampness in TCM, perfect for a swollen tongue or yellow coating.
Burdock Root: This blood-purifying herb supports liver and kidney detox, boosting metabolism for weight loss. Its cooling, slightly drying energetics help clear Heat (seen in a yellow tongue coating) and resolve toxicity in TCM.
Fennel Seed: Fennel stimulates digestion, increases hydrochloric acid production, and reduces bloating, making it ideal for digestive support. Its warming, drying energetics move Qi in the Middle Jiao (TCM), calming the fight-or-flight response.
Holy Basil: An adaptogenic herb, holy basil reduces cortisol production and calms the stress response, supporting adrenal health. Its warming, slightly drying energetics calm the Shen (spirit) and move Liver Qi in TCM, addressing anxiety and bite marks on the tongue.
Nettle Leaf: A kidney tonic and diuretic, nettle reduces fluid retention (swollen tongue) and supports weight loss by enhancing metabolism. Its cooling, drying energetics drain Dampness and tonify Kidney Qi in TCM.

Lemon Balm: This Appalachian gem calms anxiety and supports Liver Qi flow, easing the fight-or-flight response. It also gently boosts hydrochloric acid production. Its cooling, slightly drying energetics calm the Shen and balance stress-related tension.
Together, these herbs create a tea that detoxifies, supports digestion, and brings calm—a perfect blend for vitality and balance.
How to Enjoy Your Nourish & Balance Tea
For each serving, steep 1 teaspoon of the blend in 8 ounces of boiling water for 20 minutes, then strain and sip. Drink 1 cup in the morning (around 8 AM) to kick start digestion and 1 cup in the evening (around 6 PM) to support cortisol regulation and relaxation. Pair with a grounding practice, like deep breathing or barefoot walking, for deeper balance. Enjoy this tea for 8 weeks, then we’ll reassess to keep your formula aligned with your needs.
Why Herbs? Why Now?

In my practice, I see their power every day—whether it’s a tea to support digestion, a tincture to boost energy, or lifestyle practices like grounding to center us. These small rituals, like sipping this tea, become moments of healing and self-care.
