Hello, wellness friends! In the hustle of life, finding a moment to breathe deeply and restore calm is like discovering a little piece of magic. One of my favorite ways to help my clients find that peace is through a custom blended tea, crafted with intention and rooted in nature’s wisdom. Today, I’m sharing a gentle calming tea blend designed to soothe stress and nurture your spirit. Let’s explore this comforting recipe and how it can support your wellness journey!


A Calming Tea to Ease Your Mind

This gentle calming tea is perfect for those days when stress feels overwhelming, and you’re craving a moment of tranquility. It’s a blend of three powerful yet soothing herbs, each chosen for their ability to calm the nervous system and restore balance. Here’s what’s in the mix and why I love these herbs:


Passionflower: A star among calming herbs, passionflower is a gentle nervine that eases anxiety, promotes restful sleep, and quiets an overactive mind. It’s a Western herb, often found in Appalachia, making it a perfect fit for this blend. Its energetics are cooling and slightly drying, helping to balance excess heat and dampness associated with stress.

Lemon Balm: This Appalachian treasure is another gentle nervine, known for lifting the spirit while soothing nervous tension. Its bright, lemony flavor makes every sip a delight. Lemon balm’s cooling and slightly drying energetics calm heat and support emotional balance.


Oats: Milky oat tops are a nourishing nervine, supporting the nervous system with their calming and restorative properties. As a bonus, they’re rich in minerals like magnesium, which supports relaxation. Their energetics are neutral and slightly moistening, providing a grounding balance to the cooling herbs in this blend.



Together, these herbs create a tea that’s both calming and nurturing, like a warm embrace for your mind and body.


How to Enjoy Your Calming Tea

To prepare, steep 1 teaspoon of this blend in 8 ounces of hot water for 20 minutes. Sip 1-2 cups daily, ideally in the late afternoon or evening, to unwind and promote relaxation. For an extra touch of calm, pair your tea with a grounding ritual, like deep breathing or a barefoot walk on the earth. I recommend enjoying this tea for 8 weeks, then checking in to see if we need to adjust the formula to keep supporting your balance.
